‘Zamioculcas’ Noah Carter

For March we are delighted to be showing work by artist Noah Carter.

Noah (b. Essex, 1992) is a filmmaker and artist based in Wivenhoe. He trained as an architect and worked with HAT Projects in Colchester before setting up his own film production company, working with other artists and makers to document their work.

Recently Noah has been using his collection of houseplants as source material to produce a series of charcoal drawings and watercolours. Working from direct observation he encourages us to look again and appreciate the complexities and idiosyncrasies of the ordinary things that surround us everyday.
