Photographer and seasoned traveller Will Finn’s Second Hand Holiday project emerged from his hunger for travel and new experiences during the pandemic.

He purchased an archive of 800 vintage film slides showing random people’s holidays, and journeyed vicariously by borrowing their experiences to fill a temporary void in his own. In the project Will investigates our personal relationship with the image by placing himself in the frame. Visitors can view he slides used through a vintage Lunarama viewer, and a passport-style publication of the images is available for purchase.

A recent graduate from Leeds Arts University, Will Finn is a visual artist. The photographs in Second Hand Holiday debuted in the ‘Human Blueprint’ show at Rotterdam Photo in May 2022.
