About the Course

Canvas work, tapestry, needlepoint; all are names for the same fascinating embroidery technique.

This course is for complete beginners, or maybe also embroiderers experienced in other techniques who would like to add to their skills.

We will cover all you need to know – what types of canvas and thread to use, how to frame up your work, how to block and make up the finished piece.  You will work your own sampler, learning a wonderful array of stitches and make it up into something useful.

About Susan Rhodes

Susan Rhodes is an experienced embroiderer and has taught different aspects of the craft for over 30 years, including City and Guilds courses.

She loves to stitch and delights in encouraging others to explore the potential of needle and thread.

The course will run on the 18th and 25th September, the 2nd October, there will be a week’s break, and we’ll continue on the 16th, 23rd and 30th October.

The fee for this 6 week course is £90 and includes tea and biscuits.
